Our take on Penpot
Penpot has matured from an admirable open-source alternative into a credible production design environment. CSS-based Flex and Grid layouts, stronger components and variants, design tokens, developer inspection and improving performance make it increasingly viable for serious product teams. Figma still has the stronger ecosystem and accumulated workflow gravity, but Penpot now deserves to be evaluated on product fit rather than ideology.
